Boston Massacre and The Old State House



Boston Massacre occurred on March 5th.  Five colonists died from gun shots. The British soldiers were fighting the colonists. The colonists were angry about all of the taxes they had to pay. One night they gathered outside the State House and began to throw rocks and sticks at the soldiers. Then the British started firing. Everyone was really angry afterwards. 

The Declaration of Independence was read from the balcony.

John Copley




John Copley was an artist. He was a really good artist during the colonial period. He painted a shark picture, a Paul Revere picture and the Boy with the flying Squirrel. He was in Boston but moved to London. He died in London. He was famous for drawing portraits. He died 200 years on September 9, 1815.
